JUNIOR CLASSES

7 years to 13 years old

There is much research that discusses the serious obesity epidemic that young children are facing, but the simple fact is that if the problems are not addressed before children reach their teenage years, they stand very little chance of turning these habits around.

At Unique Kickboxing our aim is to teach Kickboxing and Martial Arts in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Our sessions provide both an aerobic and anaerobic workout as well as improving technique, skill, strength, flexibility and speed. The class also helps to teach discipline and create a positive attitude on the importance of health and fitness.

Unique Kickboxing also addresses the issues surrounding bullying and how deal with these day to day problems.

SENIOR CLASSES

14 years +

Our aim is to develop the fitness, strength and flexibility of our students. Unique Kickboxing covers a variety of martial arts such as K1, which involves Elbows, Knee's and Leg Kicks. MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is also covered which is similar to Ground and Pound, which is essentially how to recover and defeat an opponent when down. Street Fighting is also taught to illustrate basic techniques and to identify the posture, stance, body language and behaviour of your opponent. We also like to focus on those bad situations like when outnumbered.

We have 3 competitions a year which are open to all students, (although this is not compulsory) we start with a light contact to improve technique, timing and ring craft, and then develop to full contact for those that want to.

Gradings can be taken to earn your belts (this is open to all ages), again it is not compulsory as we understand that some students simply enjoy turning up for the self-defence and fitness aspect of the class.

Please note, you must have a valid license to participate in any class or competition which is a common martial arts practise. Licenses are available from us.
